Amigos Marks 30th Anniversary
Amigos is proud to announce it is celebrating 30 years in business during the month of June. Founded by Roger and Janice Moore, the first Amigos opened on June 17, 1980 at 5500 O Street in Lincoln. From that day forward, the mission of Amigos has been to serve fresh, quality food in a friendly way. From day one, Amigos has offered table delivery services and free salsa bars, while specializing in serving homemade spicy sauce, Ranch dressing, and food prepared with freshly made ingredients. Amigos was one of the first companies in the area to offer tuition reimbursement opportunities to employees. Over the years, Amigos has expanded services by adding a breakfast menu and cobranding with Winchells' Donuts (2002), Kings Classic (2003), and Kopeli Coffee (2007). Amigos has won many awards in the past 30 years. Restaurants Institutions Magazine recognized Amigos as one of the top growth chains in the country. Co-founder Roger Moore was named 'Restaurateur of the Year' by the Nebraska Restaurant Association, and 'Entrepreneur of the Year' by the University of Nebraska College of Business Administration.
"It has been very gratifying to see the changes and growth of Amigos over the years," says co-founder Roger Moore. "Opening our first restaurant was the realization of our dream to own and operate a business. Thirty years is an exciting achievement we owe to many people who've worked hard in our company and to our loyal customers throughout Nebraska." Today, Amigos/Kings Classic has 30 stores throughout the state of Nebraska that include traditional restaurants, drive-thru only stores, and mall locations. Amigos is celebrating 30 years in business by launching the Big 30 Sweepstakes where customers will have the chance to win free food, cash cards, or one of 30 iPads.
Amigos/Kings Classic Featured in Lincoln Business Journal
Amigos/Kings Classic was recently featured in the Lincoln Business Journal. The article talks about the expansion of Amigos through their increased drive-through business and added menu items. Just recently, the owners Janice and Roger Moore decided a breakfast menu would be a good idea for early-morning customers. Amigos has been around since 1980 and has expanded to 30 stores in 15 cities throughout Nebraska. Amigos continues to provide more options for their customers, whether in-store or on-the-go.
Amigos/Kings Classic launches new web site
Amigos/Kings Classic is pleased to announce the release of their new web site located at www.amigoskings.com. The web site was designed and developed by aijalon, a creative marketing firm in Lincoln with core services in branding, identity development, web site design and deployment. "We are very excited to work with aijalon on the development of a web presence that will serve as the hub of our communication recruitment efforts," notes Janice Moore, V.P., Marketing.
The purpose of the web site is to provide an online presence that is consistent with Amigos/Kings Classic's mission to provide exceptional dining experience for customers, and be an environment where employees can grow as individuals while working in a team-oriented setting.
The web site features a Locations section where visitors can locate a restaurant in their area and view a map to that location. The site also features a complete menu, daily specials section, and detailed information for visitors interested in joining the Amigos/Kings Classic team.
